My heating/cooling system is not working, What is wrong?

Be sure to check the switch on the thermostat and ensure it is set to proper operation. Also make certain that the thermostat is "calling" for heat/cool. Lastly, ensure that breaker or local power switch is turned on.

My A/C unit or heat pump is freezing up, what should I do?

Check your air filter. A dirty air filter prevents the required amount of airflow over the coil & can cause freeze up. If the coil is frozen, adjust the thermostat so that the system is no longer calling for cooling and let the coil thaw out before operating cooling again.
